16U Full Season Icers Girls team comes to State College for the first time in the 2026-27 season!

• 2x practice a week (~60-80 minutes)
• Target of 20 game independent schedule in the form of games and tournaments
• Coach Julia Mudryk, Assistant Coach Megan Klaus and experienced assistants

Is this a full season team?

YES! Thanks to the success of the practice team last year we are excited to offer a full season 16U girls Icers team that practices regularly and attends events just like any other Icers team. If PAHL had a 16U Girls division we would play there. The goal is to be able to ramp toward 19U PAHL in the 2027-28 season.

Are there a goalies at this age cohort?

Yes. SCYIHA has identified and invested in multiple female goalies the last two years in order to ensure this team can exist this season and for many years to come. There are also known goalies in the community interested in this program.

Are there female coaches?

Yes. We realize the importance of having female coache for girls hockey whenever possible. Head Coach Julia Mudryk was the head coach of our 25-26 practice team offering and played Penn State Women's Club hockey as a student. Assistant coach Megan Klaus played D1 in college and has been a coach for 14U Icers and Wild co-ed programming for many years. They will likely be supported by a cast of experienced male assistant coaches as well who all have many years of prior playing experience themselves.
