See you on the ice!
The jersey fittings that were scheduled for June 20th with our apparel provider K&B, have been postponed until further notice. We will send an update as soon as we have information to share.
UPDATE: All non-essential activities within Pegula Ice Arena, including all community programming, through Tuesday, June 30 have been cancelled. Customers who had pre-paid for programming or tickets for the annual figure skating show have been contacted via email in reference to their credit or refund. The University will continue to evaluate the current situation and will provide updates as they become available. Please direct any additional questions to Pegula Ice Arena Management Staff via PegulaIceArena@psu.edu.
Hello SCYIHA Members,
Please see the updates below from MidAm regarding tryouts not occurring before June 15.
SCYIHA will continue to work with Pegula, which is closed until at least June 19 per PSU's current directive. It is very possible Penn State extends their closure of facilities beyond that current date and our ice is not accessible beyond the PA Standard or USAH/MidAm/PAHL Standard. Please also make note of the following which was provided by Darcee Purvis (Exec Director of PAHL). I would anticipate hearing more about this at the June PAHL meeting (which they plan to hold as an in-person meeting):
The PAHL Executive Board plans to meet the first week of June to talk about these topics (what the PA color code means for rinks; not opening rinks until "green", pushing tryouts to late summer & any possible contingency plans based thereon). By June 1 we believe that the information available will be more usable and clear.

Mid Am District COVID-19 Policy Update:
Given the current governmental orders in place within the boundaries of the Mid Am District, the Mid Am Board has chosen to extend the current suspension of any USA Hockey sanctioned activity from May 15, 2020 to June 15, 2020. It is the Board’s intention that this policy will not be extended beyond June 15 unless new and exceptional circumstances arise and are communicated by a governmental authority. Above will be in effect unless individual states within the Mid Am District issue a return to play order prior to June 15, 2020.
Everyone must continue to comply with the policy of their state with respect to group activities, youth sports, and rink openings.
All changes will be posted to our website https://www.midamhockey.com/.
Due to Covid-19, this meeting will be an online meeting. Any topics that a member feels the board should consider can be submitted to the Secretary firstname.lastname@example.org. If anyone has any questions please reach out.
Hello SCYIHA Members,
We hope this note finds you and yours well!
Given the current governmental orders in place within the boundaries of Mid Am, the district board has chosen to suspend any on-ice tryout or group activities until May 15, 2020. This date will continue to be monitored by the District as responses to the pandemic evolve and will be updated as necessary.

Individuals are able to access USA Hockey online coaching education, officiating education, SafeSport training or background screening as these become available for the 2020-21 season. For additional information on online education opportunities please go to https://www.usahockey.com/ All changes will be posted to our website.
No other hockey activities (as delineated on page 142 of USA Hockey’s Annual Guide) are permitted until further notice from Mid Am and resulting from the return of free movement in our states permitted by the Governor’s of each of our states.
For SCYIHA, even if May tryouts are permitted to be held, Penn State has closed the campus for all activity until June 19 (As of now). As such, SCYIHA tryouts will not occur until at least that date. We will continue to share information as it is provided to us.
Thank you for your patience and understanding,
